Sky born

With this project I questioned the hierarchy between man and nature by sending the seeds of trees to a place where you and I could never come. I collected seeds and I send them along with a weather probe under a weather balloon. These probes normally get used by the KNMI, the Dutch weather station, to measure temperatures and humidity. My probe got to a height of 33385 meters, crossing the ozone layer in its course. After some time, I received an envelope that contained the rediscovered package of seeds. It took me a few days to open the package as for me the feeling towards the seeds had changed. I translated the process of the journey in an installation and supporting publication.
